Follow-up Comment #5, bug #17253 (project mypaint):
David, applying patches might or might not work depending on how much your
version diverges from the branch the patch was created for.
But when testing, please always use git master. This to not introduce any
false positives or negatives. Remember that you can easily have several
versions of MyPaint, you just git clone, build and run. You don't have to
install it and "destroy" your stable version.
