Follow-up Comment #1, bug #17473 (project mypaint):
Possibly we should just grey out options that would lose data in the UI, and
productively not honour any requests to save as .png based on the filename. By
"productively not honour", I mean save as .ora and with a *.ora filename
instead.
Will investigate...
