Okay - probably best to go with just a single sidebar, on either the left or
the right. What sort of UI do people want for choosing the screen side?
Something in the app preferences?
Given that the tool windows generally adopt a pattern of opening out sections
and resizing vertically in response, and given that they all look nice at the
same width (in the 200-300px range, anyway) but can have differing heights,
for now let's just stick with a sidebar which can be either on the left or the
right. We can revisit this later if necessary.
