Follow-up Comment #1, bug #18452 (project mypaint):
Ignore most of that, I missed the entry under the view menu. I checked in
options first and thought it was missing because the fullscreen options were
there.
The second paragraph, the part about being able to optionally modify whether
text appears or not is still valid, and would be a nice feature, however.
