Follow-up Comment #1, bug #18374 (project mypaint):
Might need to attack bug #18574 before attempting this. Possibly a
spring-loaded mode on some key or button? Looks like Blender's "F" key draws
some sort of radius outline, and a preview of a brush dab in an overlay. Might
not be able to do all of that (can we even render an individual dab in
MyPaint?), but a visible radius may be doable while locked in a temporary
brush resizing mode.
