Update of bug #20437 (project mypaint):
Status: None => Need Info
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #1:
You identify the uc-logic tablet in your subject line. Is it really specific
to that tablet, or is that the only one you've tried?
We don't distinguish between "pen pointers" and "mouse pointers", or rather we
don't use one sort of cursor for the mouse and another sort for the pen. Could
you provide some more information please?
* What hardware? Graphics array, basically. "lspci | grep -i vga" will
identify it. Its approximate age would be useful to know too.
* Your exact operating system version numbers. For Linux, the distribution
you're running too.
* What desktop environment are you running, please?
* Output of "xinput --list" for the version of GNU/Linux you are running.
* Output from the following command lines, under Linux
$ python
Python 2.7.3 (default, Aug 1 2012, 05:14:39)
[GCC 4.6.3] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import gtk
>>> gtk.gdk.display_get_default().supports_cursor_alpha()
True
>>>
* Whether you get the expected behaviour with the mouse alone.
* Whether you get the expected behaviour with any tablet which is not a
UC-Logic tablet.
* Do you get a cursor when picking colours from the screen in MyPaint, and not
at other times?
