Subject: RE: [Mypaint-discuss] string freeze, release status

If I can just add a minor thing?

When duplicating or creating layers

could "copy of" not be used anymore and instead use a number?
If it is a copy of "layer 1" you could do "layer 1.1" "layer 1.2" etc...

When creating a layer "untitled layer 1" is also too long
"Layer 1" should suffice no? (and then increment.)

And when the layer name DOES get longer then the layer stack provides, don't
make it impossible to resize it to a smaller size.
Right now it gets stuck at the biggest namesize and you can only resize after
renaming and close/reopening mypaint.

This seems quite easy to solve (especially "untitled layer" ) but would make a
huge difference in layer managment.

I'm still not far enough in learning to code to do it myself ,or I would.

Thank you for listening.
