Fixing this was harder than expected. It involved some
structural changes in mythcontext.cpp, which will need some
review and more thorough testing.

Could just revert things to the original, working code, and instead write an osx-version of the X11 stuff.

That was my original plan (way back in November), but I think this way may be worth the pain. The original code looked up the screen dimensions from about seven different places, in two different ways, and the X11- specific way really did the same thing as the Qt way.


I think the resultant simplification, and clarification of behaviour (if only through my adding a few comments) should be worth it.


Of course, I don't have time to scan the users list, and still don't know how Xinerama users actually use MythTV, so reverting would be the _safest_ way. Particularly if working toward 0.18 is your immediate goal?
