The following is just my personal opinions and should be taken as such =D

So? I understand both sides of the argument, but as a user (not a
dev) I'm very happy that I'm running SVN from the day before Issac
starting working on his LiveTV effort. Anyone can download that
specific SVN version, and just wait until LiveTV is fixed. There are
tons of people out there still running .18 or .18.1, so I'm happy that
I've been able to upgrade to the latest HEAD in SVN numerous times
since the last "stable" release.

As for the Devs, I see a lot of additional work being down outside of
TV... tons of mythweb changes, mythwelcome/mythshutdown, mythflix,
etc. Maybe this gives some of the developers a good chance to work on
other stuff? But honestly, I'm not the best person to determine if
that viewpoint is the case or not.

I read the commits list at least once every day, if not more, and I've
not seen anything major or a blocker-fix go into SVN since Issac broke
LiveTV. I've seen a few nice improvements, but nothing that is
preventing me (or the majority) from using MythTV from prior to Issac
breaking LiveTV.

Either way, it was a give and take. I think Daniel was right and
saying that it was probably underestimated, but I'm happy that they're
finally getting these LiveTV changes done (I watch LiveTV about 30% of
the time, so it's very important to me). I think that some of the
things that Issac is putting into the LiveTV functionality were the
last weak spots that Myth had against Tivo and a few other PVR/DVR
solutions and now they'll be equal and better in some regards.

I guess I just wanted to chime in and say that, inconvienced or not...
I'm not the least upset or frustrated with the delay and I'm happy to
wait until Issac's done. Of course I'm assuming it'll be re-instated
in the next several weeks :)

Thanks!
Matt
