"Sharing" recordings within the house is completely legal. I know you
didn't specifically say it is not, but I am just trying to help avoid
confusion or ambiguity. In fact, during the broadcast flag
proceedings, the FCC at least gave lip service to not frustrating this
fair use. Weather the flag will do this (and I certainly do believe
that will be the case for hd quality signals as well other fair uses)
is a matter that we will probably only fully know until after June and
something that has been speculated on. But "sharing" within a "home
network" (or some other equally ambiguous term that was used), is
recognized as a fair use.
