I dont know, the Apple 23" cinema display is pretty close at 1920x1200 (with the top HD res being 1920x1080), not cheap mind you, but the picture is simply stunning.


Whatever monitor you use there would be some scaling (even at the above res, any 720p/i or SD material would need scaling). This would be done by myth most likely. Most LCD display can do internal scaling if you feed them an image that isnt their native image, but in most cases this isnt particually great quality.
