Well, all I can say is that

http://dl.atrpms.net/mirrors/fedoracore/2/i386/iso/FC2-i386-DVD.iso

is a 4.1GB DVD image served off a pure FC2/x86_64 system. Perhaps the
64 bits matter in this case.
