I have had great success using HP's current line of thin client
hardware with clusterKnoppix as well as Red Hat (using LTSP).

I'll bet that, without too much trouble, knoppmyth could import the
PXE booting functionality from ClusterKnoppix and boot right into the
front end. I'm not far enough along with my myth install yet to try
this out (just got started with myth yesterday, and I'm only maybe 60%
of the way there to getting my master host working completely).

OK I didn't know that the regular knoppix had terminal services. Be
careful. Does the terminal service in Knoppix just run a remote
desktop? Or does the desktop run locally on the thin client, merely
PXE booting from the Knoppix server and mounting its filesystems from
Knoppix server via NFS?

I don't imagine the remote desktop type of terminal server would work
well at all with Myth.

I'm somewhat impressed with KnoppMyth guiding me through the initial
installation. I would like to have seen it done more to make sure my
optical drives were properly recognized (they're not) or that my
capture card was recognized (had to be manually added). lircd doesn't
work with the PVR-250 remote yet. So there are some rough edges
there. But I think it would be a great foundation for booting
diskless front ends.
