Right now, it works because I've built the newest Xorg from boom.kalf.org (IIRC) which as the ebuild for xorg-x11 w/ the unichrome patches etc. Mplayer works, xine works w/ no lockups. However, there's some serious frame drops. both Mplayer and xine uses up to 99% of CPU time and still have issues. I've not had time last night to get it all sorted (YET). > The m10000 has enough cpu horsepower to do > everything in software. If it works, why fix it? Well, for me, obviously something is missing cos it's using 99% CPU. > Perhaps xorg version 6.8.3 or 6.9 will work. I can wait till then Check out the ebuild from the link. BTW, does anyone have any sort of solution for changing the power supply to use the normal AC 240 current via an adapter or something?? -- Ow Mun Heng Gentoo/Linux on DELL D600 1.4Ghz 98% Microsoft(tm) Free!!
