Putting together a very quiet system, unfortunately,

Being the cheap bastard that I am, I'm going to try to make a
quiet system with a DIY heatpipe to all the major components. I'm
thinking a big hunk of aluminum heatsink out back, and some heatpipes to
it from the processor and power supply. I'll let you all know how it
work when I get time to do it.
The other thing that nobody is mentioning so far is the heat levels.
It may be quiet, but is it an oven on the inside? If I unplugged all
the fans in my backend (4x thermaltake 80mm fans) it would be silent
as well.. for about 2 hours... then it would go silent forever.. :p
PVR's put off a pretty good amount of heat, as does a video card and
CPU, especially playing HD content.
Cooling <> Quiet in most cases.
I intend to form the best balance between the two. Just like my car
water temp, I don't want my computer running too hot. Thanks for the input.
