Which brings up a question.
Why even HAVE releases like 0.17 if there is no
attempt to make them "stable" for those who wish to
use their MythTv boxes like an appliance? Projects
ordinarily try to make a stable release for those who

the answer is always "use CVS" then why is there a
release at all?
Sorry you're having trouble but you might want to devote more energy into solving the problem of failed recordings rather than the delete code which was improved before the release so as not to delete someone's entire list of saved recordings which would have been far more disasterous for a 0.17 release than any inconvenience you are experiencing now.
