If you're that worried about things, don't upgrade for a couple weeks
after a release.

The releases are tested and considered stable.  They're not guaranteed
stable, but then no software is.  All the dev testing in the world
wouldn't have caught your issue, since our machines work properly and
record when they're told to.  Rather than bitch about the delete why
not work on the root problem.

Good question.  After all, releases just encourage people who don't
contribute anything to the project to bitch and whine about how the
devs aren't doing thing the right way.
