I was surprised when you said it would not work, most keyboard and mouse
drivers are so standard there is rarely trouble getting them to run
on modern linux.

However, the versapoint is still much more expensive (the cheapest is
$70, teh 100ft range one more for this purpiose is $150!)  The Acer is
$7 and the Lite-On $20.

Of course it all depends how much keyboard work you intend to do on the
box.  I'm actually pretty impressed with the typability on the
lite-on, though the versapoint would I hope be even better at that price.
