Steve, Awesome to hear you have it working. Could you provide a few more details of how you made it work for you? I complied the 2.6.12.3 kernel last night, and I still see the same errror messages as I had posted before:
Jul 21 19:59:34 goose kernel: drivers/media/dvb/b2c2/skystar2.c: FlexCopIIB(rev.195) chip found Jul 21 19:59:34 goose kernel: drivers/media/dvb/b2c2/skystar2.c: the chip has 38 hardware filters Jul 21 19:59:34 goose kernel: driver_initialize MAC address = 00:d0:d7:30:19:69:00:00 Jul 21 19:59:34 goose kernel: DVB: registering new adapter (SkyStar2). Jul 21 19:59:34 goose kernel: i2c_readbytes: i2c read error (addr 0a, err == -121) Jul 21 19:59:34 goose kernel: mt312_read: ret == -121 Jul 21 19:59:34 goose kernel: skystar2: A frontend driver was not found for device 13d0/2103 subsystem 13d0/2103 Would you mind just rattling off some more info about your config? - Exactly which 2.6.12.x kernel you have? What options did you choose in menuconfig? Did you compile driviers into the kernel or as modules? - Exactly which dvb patches did you apply? dvb-apps, dvb-kernel, or something else? I downloaded the dvb-apps and dvb-kernel . . . but dvb kernel errors with "/usr/src/dvb-kernel/build-2.6/version_check.c:4:2: #error compiling dvb-kernel works only with linux version greater or equal 2.6.13-rc1" Seems to me you got it working ith a 2.6.12 - What frontend driver are you using? (/lib/firmware contains it) - What does your /dev/dvb/adapter0/ directory contain? Thanks for the help! -Dan _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
