Tomas,
Thanks for your email. It is on Window 7, 64 bit. I follow this tip below but
still have the same prolbem-mzmine cannot find the Java3D.
Then I put the Java3D in the default pathway of JRE6 (Java-jre6-java3D). In
this PC only one copy of java3D and JRE 6 were installed. Now mzmine 3d could
process data and
Generate a 3D picture which I can move around! But, the combo box never show
up below the choice such that I cannot zoom into a single peak to get its 3D
picture.
I appreaicate it if you could help me to overcome this prolbem.

[Mzmine-devel] SOLVED - Java 3D plot on Windows 7
mark.earll
Thu, 04 Nov 2010 05:13:03 -0700
Hi Tomas,
My colleague Chris Pudney has found the solution to the 3D plot not working in
Windows7 64bit
I had installed the early access (EA - update 23) version from
http://download.java.net/jdk6/
jre-6u23-ea-bin-b03-windows-amd64-18_oct_2010.exe but Chris informs me the
current official release is update 22 and the 64-bit Windows version is
available via
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html (then
"Download JRE" will provide the option to select Windows x64).
Then I downloaded and installed j3d-1_5_2-windows-amd64.exe (this also applies
if you have an intel processor like I have)
You then have the 64-bit JRE installed and 64-bit Java3D installed but the
final piece of the puzzle is to make sure that the JRE knows about Java3D by
installing Java3D as a Java extension. Determine where the 64-bit JRE is
installed, e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jre6 - let's call this JRE_HOME, and then
copy the JAR files from \Java\java3D\1.5.2\lib\ext to JRE_HOME\lib\ext and the
DLL files from \Java\java3D\1.5.2\bin (?) to JRE_HOME\bin. So, the directory
structure and files in
\Java\java3D\1.5.2 should be replicated under JRE_HOME, e.g.
JRE_HOME\lib\ext\j3dcore.jar
JRE_HOME\lib\ext\j3dutils.jar
JRE_HOME\lib\ext\vecmath.jar
JRE_HOME\bin\j3dcore-ogl.dll

Subject: Re: [Mzmine-devel] 3D visalizer
Hi Li,
The 3D visualizer is working. Your Java3D installation is probably not linked
correctly to your Java runtime.
Do you have multiple JRE installed? 32-bit vs 64-bit? Did you install 32-bit or
64-bit Java3D?
What OS platform are you using, actually?

Hello,
The 3D visalizer seems not working in 2.3. It says that Java3D is not
installed, but I did install it in the pc.
If you know how to get it work, please let me know. Thanks.
