Hi Angela,
I would suggest msconvert as readw is no longer supported. Msconvert is part of
Proteowizard which can be downloaded here:
http://proteowizard.sourceforge.net/downloads.shtml
It is possible to run the windows version on msconvert under WINE on Linux but
to be honest you are best having it on your instrument computer and converting
the files before you remove them. The easiest way to do it is with a batch
script, if you need help with it let me know and I can guide you through
setting it up.

You need to convert your raw files to mzXML or mzML format and then you can
open these files on Linux.
Search for 'readw' or 'msconvert' programs.
