Hi Osvaldo,

Are you sure you have the 64-bit version of Java installed? (please try running 
'java -d64 -version' in the Windows command line)

As far as I understand, the message means that MZmine is trying to allocate 
more memory than what is possible on your OS. 
That should not happen if you have 64-bit Windows and 64-bit Java. But honestly 
I have no experience with Windows 8, so there might be some other reason why 
this happens.

MZmine by default allocates half of the physical RAM, but you can change that 
in the startMZmine script (see the HEAP_SIZE variable setting). Try setting the 
HEAP_SIZE to 1000 for a start.
