Well. As you have not shown the check_smtp definition nor verified it is in a file included in your nagios.cfg I think you have your work cut out for you. And we can not say a thing about the relevant definition as you have not shown it yet. Compare definition with error report very very carefully. It is easy to overlook a slight deviation.
