Oh sheryl, loved your post!!!!!!!!!!!! USER FRIENDLY is the key word here. You described everything that every "normal" nail tech as gone thru. Just give me the basics please and a product that works when I get home. Thank gawd many companies listened to to us, and then came out with products that WE could use at our tables.
What I always noticed at the shows or demos or even media. Those brand new nails were perfect, but when you went back to your salon, did those perfect nails, you are thinking wow, it worked. but in about 4 weeks you would see product breakdown and those manuf would blame it on us. And you knew that you weren't stupid, and kept trying and trying and trying, spending way too much time on fills, maybe even lost clients over it. And you kept going with it saying, what in the hell am I doing wrong? Finally you say, well I have been doing nails for years. Gotta trust my instincts here. It is not me, it's the product!!! And slowly other techs across the world realize it, and new manuf listened. Marketing marketing. We do what we are told to do. But we have to trust our technique and ourselves. We have to use common sense. And get as much education from different sources instead of just one source. Great great post Sheryl.
