To be honest, Mel, my gel is so thin that that I don't see how it could NOT cure... if I need to do any build up, I do it with the second coat that is glitter-less...

This should smooth things out, but if not you can lightly buff it smooth without removing any of the glitter layer. Only 30 minutes from start to finish! I am going to charge $25 and try to add this in to my menu hoping to get some of the lower price/quick service market! They look HOT! On a side note, I have done acrylic toes for 13 years and do lots of clients with those also, but it is a totally different service and totally different look... I don't think I would like the same thing done with acrylic because it requires more finishing... just the nature of the acrylic beast.... Anyone who is not doing this... START! It is so worth it!!! If I can do it with gel, trust me YOU (yes, you!) can too!!!!!!
