Hi Diana,
Did you apply gel, cure for two minutes, sprinkle glitter and THEN try to apply
gel? I've always applied a base of gel, fully cured it, applied gel and then
sprinkled..
This way the gel is where it needs to be already and there is ample fresh
sticky gel for the glitter to stick to. Then I fully cure that.
After its cured, I file the side walls and free edge lightly and even the top
to smooth if needed (make sure your glitter is solid color and not dyed on both
sides or you may see silver streaks from filing the color off) .
Apply a thin coat of gel to seal. Sometimes a gel topcoat after that. Voila!
Bling toes!
Hope this helps!

Subject: NailTech:: ??? for sprinkle queens/bling

Okay, tried the sprinkle again, (bling toes) on two clients and to be
honest it didn't save me anytime, thought it would. actually thought
it was a pain in the butt.

But, here is my problem, and maybe you guys can give me a hint or something.

I apply gel, cure for 2 minutes. When it is cured, the gel is
tacky. I sprinkled away. I tapped the foot, knocked it around,
slapped LOLOLOL to remove excess. (one of the clients did ask me if
it was sanitary to put the unused glitter back into the
container, because I sprinkled (poured) way too much on her and had
to throw it away)I did cure again for another 2 minutes.

Okay this is where the pain in the butt came. When I applied the gel
on top of this, the glitter started moving, so I was getting
"patches". I applied the gel thicker and a lighter touch, but didn't
like the sidewalls, because the glitter would move, would have
patches, so ended up with the gel not very close to the
sidewalls. The gel wouldn't glide to the sidewalls unless I really
added more then it would go onto the skin. jeez, does anyone
understand this one.

Maybe what I am trying to say, is control issues. When I mix my
glitter and gel on the toe or brush, I have control of both.

So all you sprinkle queens, do you guys know what I am
saying? thanks for any help. diana from indiana
