Hi Ruth....I switched over to waterless pedicures a bit more than a year ago. I had printed out the directions for the same, from this list (I believe it was June 2002!!) I always wanted to go that route.....but ya know, change is hard for some! I SO wish I had done it sooner. My clients love this type pedicure even more than the "soak in water" from the past. They, almost without exception, were hesitant about the new waterless, but their first experience put their doubts to rest. I'll not go back.
After the northern California pedicure tragedy, I figured there is no way I could be assured of not subjecting my clients to the dangers in that type of spa, especially if I had to count on others to be as fastidious in cleaning as I am. So, yes, I am a convert, though a few months prior to the latest round of discussion on this topic. Marsha McDonald Rubino GIMME NAILS @ the Devonshire 37 Fifth St. E. With all that has been going on with whirlpool spa units, how have you changed your pedicure procedures? Do you soak without using jets, did you go to waterless, etc.?
