just going with the negative flow...I didn't even tell them about the PA
networking event...because when I told them it was in Lancaster a few months
ago (when a date wasn't set) they complained that it was too far! And that it
would be a waste of time.

This, and you're first email that said there's a lot of envy, gossip, etc at
the salon right now but nevertheless it's still a cool place to work? I ALMOST
had to respond just to that statement to say it sounded just like where I am
right now!

Anyway... I'd like to take this moment to shamelessly plug my blog at Nails
Magazine: http://blogs.nailsmag.com/maggie/

Please read the last 4 or 5 entries-- because it's all one long rant-- I'd love
to get some discussion started about what I wrote because I'm seeing a lot more
of this going around-- more and more of us are still happy with what we do but
having problems keeping our positive attitudes in the midst of grumpy
co-workers.

I remember some time ago we all had a long discussion about the book "The
Secret" and how attitude affects things, and after I got all that written I
thought of that book again-- I should read it, I guess.

Anyway... Yeah! to what I quoted up there. For the most part, I still really
like where I'm working too, but am having a harder time keeping my chin up
while I listen to my co-workers gripe about everything and blame the salon
owner for all the things they aren't stepping up to take care of themselves
(it's a booth rental salon-- most of the gripes are not the owner's
responsibility to fix.) And it pains me, but I may not be long for the salon at
this point.
