When I first became a tech, I was shocked to learn:

I was shocked to learn that there were huge - HUGE - gaps in my education,
caused mainly by an immense amount of well-intended ignorance. I spent lots of
time in the public library learning about chemistry and bacteriology because of
of all the conflicting gel vs acrylic misinformation that was being circulated
by teachers, product educators, and distributors. I am forever grateful for
having found this list during the 90s when I was a new esthetician. You know, I
think that some of the ladies on this list might be responsible for my total
conversion to nails because I will identify as a nail tech first and then
think, "Oh yeah.....I'm an esthetician, too!!!" :)

That women stomp around in their yards and gardens then come straight to the
salon for a pedidure without washing their feet first. To be so bold to come
into a salon and want a pedicure with dirt or soil embedded under the toenails
and in the cracks and crevices of the feet. GROSS!
