Robin,
Be careful with asking your school. I only warn you because many "teachers" do
not know all the rules and regulations and could misinform you. Not saying your
teacher would, but I know plenty in PA that have NO clue.
You trusted your instinct and came to this forum.
I had a salon owner tell me she wanted me to use a razor instrument. (Credo) I
told her no and why. This same owner also booth rents in PA, which is against
SB regs.
Buenos dias,
Lynnette

I AM HER ONLY NAIL TECH SO IT WILL BE SAVING MY OWN BUT, THATS A CHANCE I WILL
HAVE TO TAKE, BY CALLING TO HAVE THE INFO MAILED TO ME. I DO NOT OWN ONE NOR
HAVE I EVER USED A CREDO BLADE.  ACTUALLY I DO THINK THERE IS SOME RULES AND
REGULATIONS ON THE MY FLORIDA.COM WEB SITE. MY OTHER OPTION IS TO CONTACT A
TEACHER AT THE TECH. INSTIUTE. MAYBE I WILL TRY THAT ROUTE FIRST. THANKS AGAIN
TO YOU ALL FOR BEING SO HELPFULL!!!!!

Robin
Three things.
First, all of us in FL know that the information on that phone number is NOT
accurate - it is a central Business and Professional agency bunch that is way
to separated from the Cos Board for them to always be right. (I called for
information once, got an answer, called back and got a different answer! Had to
drive to Tallahassee and can tell you I was NOT happy!) I have no suggestions
for you on that!
Second, I will tell you that if you are sued, a judge can determine that what
you are doing is medical or surgical, regulation or not, and then you are in a
whole world of hurt! Liability is very expensive in more ways than money.
People have been sent to jail for 'practicing without a license.'
Third, if you have them send the information to her, that will put her on the
red flag list and she will be visited, if you know what I mean. I don't think
she would appreciate that. And you may not have a job, then. Just and FYI.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INPUT! I WILL BE CALLING THE BOARD MONDAY MORNING AND
MAYBE HAVE THEM FORWARD ME THE LAWS OF THE STATE TO HER SO SHE HAS THEM IN
WRITING. I REFUSE TO RUIN MY REPUTATION, AND BELIEFS JUST TO WORK FOR SOMEONE!

No it is not LEGAL in the state of florida!! if u have questions call the
board, never take someone else's word for it. I am licensed in ohio and florida
and most states i have heard do not allow use of the blade.
