Hi Maggie! I've had a Roomba for about a year. It does a good job except for corners as you might imagine. What I love about it is you can set it up, turn it on and walk away. Well, most people can walk away....I just had to watch it do it's work! I was amazed at how it was able to vacuum every square inch of the room (except for the corners)! I bought mine at Costco for, I think $249. It was sort of a stop-gap puchase because I was so flippin' tired of dumping the water from my Rainbow (15 yrs of that!) and we were planning to install a central vac this fall. Well, the central vac was installed about a month ago and I love it. And I've been planning to sell my Roomba. It's in excellent condition and you can have it for $100. + shipping.

But they are just so freakin cool! I just don't know if it would really be a practical salon vacuum? Anyway-- any thoughts on vacuum cleaners would be appreciated.
