I personally don't have a Roomba, but, my friend Anita does. She uses it in her home. Anita has 5 cats and white carpet and she swears by that little machine. I have central vac and I'm thinking about getting the Roomba anyway. Let us know how you like it.

To: [email protected] Date: Saturday, December 26, 2009, 11:57 PM Hi Maggie! I've had a Roomba for about a year. It does a good job except for corners as you might imagine. What I love about it is you can set it up, turn it on and walk away. Well, most people can walk away....I just had to watch it do it's work! I was amazed at how it was able to vacuum every square inch of the room (except for the corners)! I bought mine at Costco for, I think $249. It was sort of a stop-gap puchase because I was so flippin' tired of dumping the water from my Rainbow (15 yrs of that!) and we were planning to install a central vac this fall. Well, the central vac was installed about a month ago and I love it. And I've been planning to sell my Roomba. It's in excellent condition and you can have it for $100. + shipping. Marsha :>) ps I really enjoyed your Christmas letter! I have a nifty Dyson at home and I started off with my foot planted firmly on the ground saying that I was NOT going to compromise on my choice of vacuums for the salon. But, I don't exactly have an extra $400 that I can pull out of my butt to go out and get a second Dyson right now. And, after several weeks of lugging the home vacuum to the salon on the weekends-- well, I do nails. And you all know how much dust I can create in a short amount of time, vacuuming once a week is not an option. Point is, I need a vacuum cleaner for the salon and right quick too! I'm looking for a compact, upright, preferably with a bag (yeah, I know the Dyson doesn't have a bag and that's the one thing that I hate about it) for around $100 for daily vacuuming. I have commercial carpeting in the salon, no bare floors. Also-- for a long term option, does anyone know if a Roomba would work for the salon? I can't have a Roomba at home, the dogs would kill it! But they are just so freakin cool! I just don't know if it would really be a practical salon vacuum? Anyway-- any thoughts on vacuum cleaners would be appreciated.
