The center of the UV bulb puts out the most UV. The new CND lamp has 4 bulbs so that the two outside bulbs could project further out than the two inner bulbs, also having four allows the two side bulbs to be a bit more angled. The combination of the bulbs being staggered and angled allows for an optimum cure in spite of the thumb being sideways. It also offers an improved cure for the pinky fingers and toes. I will see if I can get someone to post a photo for you all.

Someone was asking about the wand lamp the other day. I wonder how it can get the same cure because it is not enclosed. So do you think you would be loosing UV rays because of that? <http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/05.gif> Angie Wingerter ---------------- From: kelley smith <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, May 27, 2010 8:56:32 AM Subject: Re: NailTech:: Shellac The cnd lamp has 4 9 watt lamps. So I guess the idea is more lights quicker cure? I also guess that the only logic here is 4x9 is what? 36 Kelley marie On May 27, 2010 9:20 AM, "Angela R Wingerter" <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> > wrote: I think Lynnette and Denise are both right. The lady I talked to at Light Elegance said it was fine to use a 9 watt (one bulb) lamp because it was small on the inside. You just could not do the thumb at the same time because it was not deep enough for the whole hand. Light Elegance lamps only have 3-9 watt bulbs. So that would be 3x9. Their lamp is smaller then the 4 bulb lamp so it uses less bulbs. Less area in there for the bulbs to work. They use the single bulb lamp for toes. It just depends on the size of the space on how many bulbs you need. <http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/05.gif> Angie Wingerter ---------------- From: "[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> " <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> > To: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Thu, May 27, 2010 7:25:04 AM Subject: Re: NailTech:: Shellac Denise, that is true!
