Well first why anything at all needs to be addressed. Soak off's are porous. Which means they have the ability to absorb things. Which is how they can even soak off in the first place. So if unprotected by some sort of sealer, they can stain by something so simple as reading a newspaper. OK....so now you understand WHY a top sealer of any kind let me explain why I felt the airdry vs UV dry was better when I did the line. A) it makes no difference what you use so long as you seal it EXCEPT performance wise. What you seal with has to be flexible enough to bend with the gel and not crack. My decision for YOU guys was based on Time is money. My airdry sealer accomplishes the same ending as the UV...protect the gel. YET it dries in under 1 minute 10 nails. The uv sealers require anywhere from 1 minute to 2 minutes PER HAND. So that is 4 minutes you've lost. When I give my seminars all over the world, the first thing I teach the techs is "how much should you be charging"? Once we figure out the going rate in a country it is a simple formula to figure out what your value per hour is. And then per minute. In some cases 1 minute = $1!! So if you're curing a "sealer" for 4 minutes total, it's cost YOU $4 of your day PER client. At the end of an 8 client day that is $32!! MY eco techs using my air dry are technically losing $8. And really....getting them out of the chair. I hope this helps you understand WHY I did what I did. Debbie and I are working on putting together a Nailtech chat on June 27th. I'll try and go into further details on this during the chat....(the money part). I think most of you would be shocked at how unstructured your pricing might be and how you're losing a lot of profit. :) Elaine Kind Regards, Elaine T. Seems to defeat the purpose! Why wouldn't you just use a soak off gel topcoat and send 'em out smudge proof?Curious in Key West Karen Karen, well that is a good question. The eco So Quick Topcoat, like many others, Out The Door, Seche, etc., dry very quickly, less than 1 minute in most cases. You could also add one layer of clear So Quick to give a little extra shine.
