Never heard of that. Calluses usually are there because of type of shoes, how someone walks/runs. It s the bodies natural defense to friction. My grandmother had feet like mine. It can also be heredity. I guess is calluses were fungus, 80 percent of the popluation is running around with fungal feet. LOl. That's absurd. I have never heard a podiatrist say that. Wierd... I have one on the side of my big toe that looks like another toe if I let it go too long. LOL. Seriously. And my heels have always been bad. They get real hard callus that thickens very fast. If I let it go too long, it cracks and bleeds because it is so hard. Callus remover products have come a long way in the last 20 years since the days all we had was a shaver. I occasionally go and get a pedi, but u have to work on my heels and 2nd toe before I go. Most techs do not give good pedis. I can't even tell a difference after I have had one (which is the whole point in going).ithey give what I call a fru fru pedi. Which is why I have many clients with feet like mine. And they are loyal and come in like clockwork every 3-4 weeks for pedis year round. If you get them often enough, it keeps it at bay.
