One thing to keep in mind....and it is a "chicken or the egg" thing. Is the
gel curling over time and curling the nail or is the nail curling and
pulling the gel with it.

I can only speak for my formula...and I can assure you, it's the nail that
curls and pulls the gel with it. The gel is so flexible that when the nail
dehydrates (from the exposed, underside of the free edge) and curls, it is
able to pull the gel with it. My formula is not changing it's shape over
the 1 - 2 weeks it's on the nail. And, btw, this happens to hard gel and
Acrylics. The difference is, they are ridged enough to keep their shape.
In stead of them curving with the nails, you get side lifting on the free
edges as the nails curl away at the underside.

Back in the day when I had clients that had nails that had a tendency to do
this, I put them on a regimen of daily oil under the nail as well as at the
cuticle. If they were 'super porous' and the oil wasn't good enough, I
simply over layed the underside of their nail with some brush on resin. In
the case of the soak off's, if your client has a bit of free edge growing
out, encapsulate it in a coat of clear sog. You have to do this before it
starts to curl. Now that you know XX particular client curls...trim back
her nails to get rid of the dehydrated curled bit, and start overlaying the
underside immediately. As it grows out, you won't have that deep curl.

The solvents used to remove SOG's is very dehydrating. That's why we put
the emollients in our Eco Soak off Solution along with the magic bits. LOL
