Pati,

I was thinking about this a lot today due to one of my clients coming in.
I don't think she could ever
wear the SOG's because of the way her nails are built. Her stress point is
half way down the nail and just overall assessment of how they are. Is it
possible she just isn't a good candidate and needs the strength of
acrylic? She may be getting too much "play" in the nail which causes them to
peel. I hope I was clear in describing my thoughts Pati.

Also Pati, what base and top coat are you using?

help! my client is coming back tomorrow...she got a sog mani on Tuesday
last week and it is starting to peel off again. The first 2 times I thought
she might have waited to long to rebook but this time she called sooner.
I have tried shellac and now gelish and I even applied YN protein bond this
time... what else can I do? No one else is having issues...

I have a couple of questions that may seem obvious. lol

If I get acetone on my "Gelished" nails while working what happens? I
usually only use one glove, but have been using two. Also, if I want to do
art on the finished nail would I use acetone or alcohol to correct mistakes?
Lastly, if you put the SOG on acrylic nails and they come in for a fill,
you have to file it off right? Doesn't that take forever???
Thank you everyone for your help : )

I will just take the over enhancement part of this one Della!

You can apply Gelish (eco, Shellac or any of these new soak offs) over
acrylics or hard or soft gels. You need to file them off because soaking could
breakdown and have ill effects on the acrylic/gel underneath. It should
not take you any real time to get it off, just remove it at the time you
would thin out the enhancement while prepping for the fill.
