I have had a couple of open houses years ago. We had a good turnout. We mailed out invites to all our customers. We put an ad in the paper. Don't know if that helped or not, can't remember. We had drawings, discounts on retail and coupons for everone that attended. Anyone that brought a guest got something too. We made cookies and had hot cider, coffee and bottled water. If you didn't come then you couldn't enter the drawings or get the coupons or discounts. It was fun and a lot of work, but there was 12 of us. We decorated the salon for Christmas and everyone brought in goodies. We all gave away a service for the drawings. Hope this helps.

I am going to host an open house for my customers. I am thinking of ways to give back to LOYAL customers as well as get more. Have any of you hosted an open house for your customers during the holidays or any other time? If so, how did it go, did you get new clients, and what marketing ideas did you use? Did you offer free services or discounts on services and reatail? Did you have it catered or keep it simple? Do you make it a yearly event? Is it a TON of work??? Thanks for your input and ideas!
