I'm planning an open house tomorrow evening (Oct 1 5-8pm). I've
been in business 10 years so I've given the salon a facelift (new
paint, border, curtains, etc.) My space is small so
drawing/giveaways tables will be outside. I mailed postcards to
clients for them to return for a drawing. Everyone puts their name
in for door prizes (which all prizes are misc retail to get off the
shelves, and a couple of gift certificates). 25% all retail
discount, snacks (that friends are helping to assemple/prep) and
friends helping set up. I'm the only person and my salon is very
narrow so I won't be able to do demos, but sure wish I could with a
No Chip Manicure! But my helpers for the evening have No Chip
Manicures and they will help talk it up. Also ran an ad in the
local paper. I'll post on here next week how the evening went!

Jackie,
Congratulations! I hope the event goes well for you! If you have time
you may want to scoot over to www.MancuresThatLast.com where you can
find poster sized advertisements for your no chip services. I created
several color schemes and wordings - most of which can be used no
matter what brand you use - but of course we hope you use eco :)
You should be able to download the file to a usb memory stick and
take it to Office Max or Staples or your local printer and have them
run off in time for your open house! I had a few printed from a place
online and WOW they came out awesome!
You can find the posters in the Articles area, the Consumer
Advertisements section.
