I've seen this happen on regular polish with woman that use a lot of product on their hair. What happens is they do their hair, finish with some spray way or lots of hair spray and then they DON'T WASH THEIR HANDS. They end up with a build up of hair product on their nails and dirt, debris and who know's what now gets attached to that a well. Usually, if you take a pad with alcohol on it, the discoloration will wipe off. Ask her about her hair products and ask her to start washing her hands well after doing her hair and see if it works. Also, try the alcohol trick to see if it comes off, if it does, you know it's on the surface and the product isn't turning colors.
