That stuff was called Pro Trans. You did not have to use special paper, you could photo copy people photographs and use those as well as magazine pages. I actually have an old bottle of it. I would think you could use something like Tammy Taylor A Coat or sinilar product. Once dry, you wet the back and buff the paper off with a fine block. You would clear coat the pic you wanted to use (has to be magazine type paper!) using a super good topcoat, like Poshe. Then after it dried, you could wet the back, rub the excess paper off gently and it would be (theoretically) thin enough to apply to the nail using more topcoat. It s been years since I've tried it.
