Katherine, I know that kind of client too. Sometimes if you kill them with kindness eventually they start to trust you and turn human. As long as they don't bug you inbetween appt. That is NOT worth the money. Angie Wingerter

Some people are just not worth it. I have a new client for Shellac. She's been in three times. She carefully examines her nails when I'm done looking for something to complain about. Can't find anything, says her cuticles are dry, I put oil on them, she says, "well, we'll see if they do as good this time." next appointment she says, with skepticism in her voice and a scowl on her face, "well, they held up perfectly, let's see if we can do it again." Her attitude is so incredibly negative that it sucks the joy of life out of me. I did a perfect job and I do not feel any sense of accomplishment for a job well done. I hate it that the industry has changed so much that I feel like I have to put up with this kind of client again. Back in the old days, if a client was annoying, I just fired them. Now business is down and it's like when I first started, take every client who calls and bend over backwards to please them so they'll come back, regardless of how difficult they are to satisfy. Thank goodness for my long time clients who have been with me for years and are so nice and sweet and supportive and appreciative. There must be more like them out there, where are you wonderful new client, please come to my table for great, quality service that you will appreciate. >From My lips to Gods ears.
