I would not want to work in a salon where even just one person is not
licensed.
Think about this: we bitch and moan about the chop shops and "nss" with
their unlicensed employees. This is no different. If the word gets out that
"Gina from such and such salon" is not licensed, it will turn into just
"THAT salon hires unlicensed employees."
The reputation of your salon is at stake.
I see Sue's point, but we are striving for industry standards and right now
Aimee's salon is falling below standard.
Just like the chop shops, if I found out there were unlicensed workers, I
would find another salon.
Geezus how hard is it to get online and renew? (unless you are in PA which
has THE most unfriendly website ever)
JMHO.....

I forgot to say the inspector should be WELL aware this person hadn't
renewed. Let's just say letters had been sent, checks bounced, etc.
Yes, this person was present at the salon during the inspection and even
chatted with the inspector (but it seemed friendly not about the license
issue).
Now maybe the hairdresser will get more letters from the state board, but
come on! This is now over a year old issue.
The salon owners are never in the salon and are not in the business (they
have other careers and opened the salon as a business venture). We are all
booth renters.
Would one person with this issue shut the whole salon down when we booth
rent?
