I don't know that oil is the issue to be honest cause how in the world is keeping oil on every hour on the hour gonna penetrate through the gel polish? I think just as some people can not wear acrylics so can some people not wear gel soak offs think about it the components are some what the same as acrylic or regular gel...I really do not think that the client should have to apply oil to their nails every hour on the hour just to have a satisfied look of no white spots.

I don't know how to fix it but I sure know that some of my clients that were wearing the shellac french have stopped in a very little time too! :(

Anna,

The Gel Polish's are porous and a high grade cuticle oil will penetrate just as it does with acrylics, especially around the cuticle margin and underneath the free edge. It can make a difference on especially on those you feel have dry/brittle nails.

And I do agree, not everyone is a candidate for UV Gel Polish, nor is everyone a candidate for acrylics or hard gels or even a traditional manicure It is our job to do a thorough consultation to help the client make an educated decision from your professional recommendation.
