I think we've all been there more than a few times in our careers and
it IS frustrating. About 2 yrs. ago I had a client boo-hooing at my
table because her hubby was paranoid he was going to lose his job, so
she might have to stop getting her nails done. She comes 1x month for
a fill that costs $33!

So I broke it down for her on a weekly cost, which would be a little
over $8 per week. Good Lord! We squander more on Starbucks! She saw
the light, felt better about her situation and is still a client. And
her hubby never did lose his job.

One other thing to ponder is that these types of clients ALWAYS
without fail seem to be the ones with the biggest houses, the nicest
SUV's and luxury cars, their kids always go to the best schools, the
whole family wears designer clothes, shoes, and jewelry, they're
members of a country club, they take grand vacations, own a lakehouse/
beach house/condo at a resort, and they rub shoulders with all the
"important" people in town. Let's not forget that they dine out at the
most expensive restaurants and they all have housekeepers and pool
boys.

Well, THAT's why they don't have any money!

Nail techs.....always remember it's not about how much money you make.
It's about how much money you SAVE! Don't envy these people. For all
you know your net worth could exceed theirs.

Most of the people that are "keeping up with the Jones's" are robbing
Peter to pay Paul, maxxed out on their credit cards, upside down on
their mortgage, have little or no money in savings and borrow against
their 401-k's to prop up their artificial lifestyle. Plus many of them
drink too much because they can't stand their spouses, one or both of
them are having affairs, and they cater to the spoiled little monsters
they call children. How do I know this to be true?

I've heard it from their own lips for over 23 years of doing their
nails!

And on that happy little note......all you nail techs have a very
Merry Christmas and be grateful for the nail talents God gave you:)
