I had a client get plain old acrylic that an NSS said was a "powder gel" when she requested a gel nail repair while on vacation. They call what ever they want to call what ever they want to call it. Non standard salons have no standards of any kind.
If the client asked for OPI Axium, they will do an acrylic with a gel top coat and tell them that it is "powder gel" by OPI.
