If you keep the natural nail drilled out underneath, you can avoid having to cut the nail off and completely redoing it (sometimes). I have a client that I do this too because her nails grow down. If I keep the nail drilled out I can keep the artificial one growing straighter. Sometimes I still have to cut it and start over too. Angie
