I know that it happens to runners a lot.  I have a client that her toes are 
constantly turning black and fall off.  I personally walk half marathons for 
Charity and have had one fall off, I associate it with running the down hills 
and the pounding.  Good luck...

That's so weird, I have two clients that had the same thing happen in the last 
year... luckily it comes back really quick, but I've been a tech for 20 years 
and never had seen anything like it unless it was fungal!
