I had to build up to this ball chair.  I can only sit for 3 hours and then I 
have to eother walk around or sit in a regular chair for awhile.  It does take 
the stress off of my legs ans back.

oh Becky...it IS different than sitting in a regular chair... It makes me sit 
up straighter...and my feet are flat on the floor...thereby forcing my core to 
work more also...

I actually sat on a ball, not the ball chair. The ball forces better posture 
and forces you to use your core to stabilize yourself. You can cross your legs 
if you practice but you will most likely fall off of it if you do. It's meant 
as a means of passive exercise. I don't know the purpose of the chair with the 
frame is, as it doesn't really do anything different than any other chair in my 
opinion.
