I don't think the square ever was a flat montly fee. When I joined in Nov., it was 2.75% of each transaction, plus .15 cents.(?) Now its just 2.75%, no other fees apply. Yes, I still LOVE my square! No paperwork! Receipt is e-mailed to customer! No landline needed, square works wherever you have cell service! No monthly machine rental! No paper! No ink! Teeny Tiny! Doesn't take up any room at all on my station! Quick! Conjure up the square app! Plug in the square! Enter the Amount! Swipe the Card! Client Signs, enter the e-mail address (only need to do this ONCE! The square remembers their e-mail after the first time!) DONE! The fee is subtracted from the total, the rest is deposited directly into my checking account! No paperwork, no separate deposit! Yes.. I DO love my square! Pam Nail Designs Ohio
